Security

Banca Sistema takes a number of security measures to guarantee that your data and information are secure. You can also help increase this level of security and protect yourself against computer fraud:

  • Protect yourself from phishing
  • Protect your passwords
  • Protect your computer

PHISHING

Phishing, which relates to the theft of digital identity, is one of the most common forms of computer fraud. It involves emails that masquerade as official communications from a bank and ask the recipient to disclose confidential information that is then used illegally. These emails usually contain a link to a website similar to the bank's real website, where users are asked to enter account details.

How to recognise phishing emails:

  • they are usually not personalised and contain a generic request for personal information;
  • they often refer only to an email address and do not mention the recipient's name and surname;
  • they contain spelling errors and poor grammar.

How to recognise our email communications:

  • our communications are personalised with your name and product;
  • our emails never contain links to pages asking you to enter identification codes or other personal data;
  • our emails never ask for personal information or access credentials.

Banca Sistema will never ask you by email or telephone to provide access credentials or to call a number other than the official numbers shown on www.bancasistema.it.

PROTECT YOUR PASSWORDS

Passwords are the first line of defence against unauthorised access and allow you to access online services wherever you are.

Keep your credentials strictly confidential:

  • never save passwords or PINs on your computer or smartphone;
  • do not use browser features to store access credentials; enter them manually;
  • choose passwords that are difficult to guess and different from those used for other online services, and change them at least once every three months.

PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER

To keep your data and computer secure, we recommend that you:

  • keep your operating system and browser up to date;
  • install antivirus software and update it frequently;
  • install a personal firewall where possible;
  • never download programs from suspicious or untrustworthy websites;
  • do not share files on the Internet;
  • do not open suspicious email attachments, even when you know the apparent sender;
  • never download ActiveX programs and add pages requesting this operation to your browser's restricted-sites list.
